|— Ironhorse to Meghan Chase in The Iron Daughter, og. 322|
Ironhorse was the last lieutenant of Machina and the first and original Iron Horse. After Machina's death and the uprising of the false king, Ironhorse joined the rebels and sided with Ash, Puck, Grim, and Meghan. He died after falling in a battle, in which he had made a deal with Grim, and gave him the last of his life to create the new Iron Horses. He was devotedly loyal to Meghan and was willing to sacrifice his life for hers.
The Iron Queen (mentioned)Edit
Although in his first appearance in The Iron King deemed Ironhorse as an enemy, he later on turns to become the heroes ally. Ironhorse, being one of Machina's lieutenant, hold a serious and military type of personality. As a fey, Ironhorse is true to his words and is one of the most loyal and honest fey throughout the series. He has enough loyalty to use himself as a sacrifice and follow any order to his utmost ability.
Ironhorse followed Machina because he saw him as the true ruler of the Iron Realm. But after the fall of the second king and Ferrum had tried to renounce his old glory once more, Ironhorse could not follow him. He strongly did not believe that Ferrum was fit to the throne and eventually left the Iron Kingdom in search for Meghan's help to stop the false king.
True to his name, Ironhorse is a huge, bulky black metal horse with glowing red eyes. He has chinks in his belly where a fire blazes.
His voice is extremely loud and he could not whisper until he lay dying. Using glamour to make himself appear human, he is a huge, strong, muscular African-American man with long dreadlocks, fists the size of hams, a square jaw, and red eyes.
